1. What We Collect
MWSC Chatbot may collect:
- Usernames (for chat interaction logging)
- Messages sent to the bot (commands like
!weather MN, etc.) - Server IDs or Channel IDs (for bot functionality in Discord or YouTube)
We do not collect:
- Personal identifying information
- IP addresses
- Payment info
2. How We Use Data
We only use collected data to:
- Respond to weather-related commands
- Provide live weather alerts, forecasts, and responses
We do not sell, share, or distribute your data outside of MWSC services.
3. Data Storage
- Some tokens (for Discord or YouTube API access) are securely stored for authentication.
- No user conversations are permanently stored unless required for bot moderation logs (optional and currently disabled).
4. Third-Party Services
MWSC Chatbot uses APIs from:
- National Weather Service (NWS)
- YouTube API
- Discord API
Each of these services may have their own privacy policies.
