The National Weather Service in Paducah has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for…
Ripley County in southeastern Missouri…

* Until 845 PM CDT.

* At 802 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line from
over Budapest to near Gatewood, or along a line from 10 miles
northeast of Doniphan to 14 miles southwest of Doniphan, moving
east at 25 mph.

HAZARD…60 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include…
Doniphan, Budapest, Gatewood, Fairdealing and Briar.

Instructions

Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from
windows. These storms are capable of producing damaging winds.

Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning is one of nature’s leading killers. Remember, if you can
hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
