Details

At 433 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 7
miles east of Grandview Plaza, moving southeast at 45 mph.

HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down small tree limbs and blow
around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor
objects and vegetation is possible.

Locations impacted include…
Wamego, Council Grove, Alma, St. George, Maple Hill, White City, Alta
Vista, Dwight, McFarland, Paxico, Parkerville, Keene, Council Grove
Lake, and Volland.

This includes Interstate 70 between mile markers 310 and 345.

Instructions

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Strong winds with this storm will occur before any rain or lightning.
Do not wait for the sound of thunder to go inside.
