…The National Weather Service in Topeka has issued a Flood Warning
for the following rivers in Kansas…

Marais Des Cygnes River above Reading affecting Lyon and Osage
Counties.

* WHAT…Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE…Marais Des Cygnes River above Reading.

* WHEN…From this morning to Thursday morning.

* IMPACTS…At 19.0 feet, Low lying areas along the river flood. At
21.0 feet, County Road Y 5 near the gage floods, 3 miles north of
Reading.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 5:45 AM CDT Wednesday the stage was 17.0 feet.
– Forecast…The river is expected to rise above flood stage late
this morning to a crest of 20.5 feet this afternoon. It will then
fall below flood stage late this afternoon.
– Flood stage is 19.0 feet.

Instructions

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars
through flooded areas.
