* WHAT…Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE…Houston County in southeastern Minnesota…
* WHEN…Until 600 AM CDT.
* IMPACTS…Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Streams
continue to rise due to excess runoff from earlier rainfall.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 239 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Flooding is ongoing or expected
to begin shortly. A Mudslide was reported on Highway 76 west of
Caledonia near Badger Creek. Water going over the roadway at
Beaver Creek Valley State Park. Between 5 and 7 inches of rain
have fallen.
– Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are possible in the
warned area.
– Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Caledonia, Houston, Hokah, Brownsville, Mound Prairie, Money
Creek, Reno, Yucatan, Sheldon, Black Hammer, Highway 44 And
Sanden Road, Beaver Creek Valley State Park, Dun Romin Park
Campground, County 14 And White Tail Road, Freeburg, County Roads
3 And 24, Perkins and County Roads 15 And 4.

Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
