…The National Weather Service in Quad Cities has issued a Flood
Warning for the following rivers in Iowa…

Cedar River near Conesville affecting Louisa and Muscatine
Counties.

.Additional rainfall from today through Monday night is expected to
be considerably lighter than what fell Thursday through Saturday
night. This helps provide higher confidence in these river forecasts.

…REPLACES RIVER FLOOD WATCH…

* WHAT…Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE…Cedar River near Conesville.

* WHEN…From this evening to Thursday night.

* IMPACTS…At 15.0 feet, Water affects Saulsbury Road.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 9:00 AM CDT Sunday the stage was 11.5 feet and rising.
– Forecast…The river is expected to rise above flood stage this
evening to a crest of 14.9 feet early Tuesday morning. It will
then fall below flood stage Thursday afternoon.
– Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Instructions

Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.
