…The National Weather Service in Des Moines has issued a Flood
Warning for the following rivers in Iowa…

East Nishnabotna River near Atlantic affecting Cass County.

Thompson River at Davis City affecting Decatur County.

* WHAT…Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE…Thompson River at Davis City, or from the City of Grand
River to the Iowa-Missouri border.

* WHEN…From late Thursday night to late Friday night.

* IMPACTS…At 12.0 feet, Widespread flooding occurs at the Davis
City park including the campgrounds. Water affects Hwy R15 just
north of the town of Grand River in northwest Decatur County.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 8:00 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 8.6 feet, and rising.
– Forecast…The river is expected to rise above flood stage early
Friday morning to a crest of 12.4 feet early Friday afternoon. It
will then fall below flood stage late Friday evening.
– Flood stage is 12.0 feet.

Instructions

Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
