Details
At 444 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms along a line extending from 6 miles southwest of
Leavenworth to near Lansing to Bonner Springs. Movement was east at
15 mph.
HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 40 mph.
SOURCE…Radar indicated.
IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include…
Leavenworth, Lansing, Bonner Springs, Parkville, Edwardsville,
Riverside, Weatherby Lake, Kansas City, Farley, Wolcott, Pomeroy,
Waldron, Muncie, Beverly Hills, Maywood, and Piper.
This includes the following highways…
Interstate 70 in Kansas between mile markers 410 and 421.
Interstate 35 in Kansas near mile marker 233.
Interstate 635 between mile markers 1 and 9.
Interstate 435 between mile markers 9 and 24.
Kansas Turnpike between mile markers 225 and 226.
