Details

At 1205 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 14
miles northeast of Gainesville, or 21 miles west of West Plains,
moving east at 40 mph.

HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 40 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.

Locations impacted include…
West Plains, South Fork, Brandsville, Lanton, Siloam Springs,
Sycamore, Dora, Pottersville, Caulfield, Zanoni, and Tecumseh.

Instructions

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 100 AM CDT for
south central and southwestern Missouri.
