The National Weather Service in El Paso has issued a
* Dust Advisory for…
Southeastern Dona Ana County in south central New Mexico…
Northwestern El Paso County in western Texas…
* Until 945 PM MDT.
* At 856 PM MDT, a wall of dust was pushing into Santa Teresa and
across the Juarez mountains south of downtown El Paso. Radar
suggests the outflow winds driving the dust are weakening. But
visibility may drop below a mile west of the Franklin Mountains,
and to around 2 miles east of the Franklins before the dust
dissipates.
HAZARD…Less than two miles visibility with strong wind in excess
of 30 mph.

IMPACT…Hazardous travel.
Locations impacted include…
El Paso, Mission Valley, Clint, Santa Teresa, Sunland Park, and
Canutillo.
Instructions
Blowing dust brings reduced visibility, leading to dangerous driving
conditions. If driving, avoid blowing dust if possible. If caught in
dense blowing dust, pull off the road, turn off your lights and keep
your foot off the brake.
