…The National Weather Service in Wichita KS has issued a Flood
Warning for the following rivers in Kansas…

Ninnescah South Fork near Murdock affecting Kingman County.

* WHAT…Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE…Ninnescah South Fork near Murdock.

* WHEN…From this evening to early Sunday morning.

* IMPACTS…At 8.0 feet, Minor flooding occurs along the right
upstream bank affecting pastureland and along left downstream bank.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 2:00 PM CDT Thursday the stage was 5.3 feet.
– Forecast…The river is expected to rise above flood stage
late this evening to a crest of 8.5 feet tomorrow morning. It
will then fall below flood stage early Saturday afternoon.
– Flood stage is 8.0 feet.

Instructions

Do not drive into flooded areas or go around barricades. Nearly two
feet of water will carry most vehicles away. Turn around, don’t
drown.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.
