* Until 930 PM CDT.
* At 856 PM CDT, a tornado producing storm was located over Missouri
City, or near Liberty, moving east at 35 mph.
HAZARD…Damaging tornado.
SOURCE…Radar confirmed tornado.
IMPACT…Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed.
Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree
damage is likely.
* Locations impacted include…
Independence, Liberty, Sugar Creek, Buckner, Courtney, Orrick,
Sibley, Missouri City, Levasy, River Bend, Napoleon, Mosby,
Fleming, and Prathersville.
This includes Interstate 35 in Missouri between mile markers 19 and
21.
Instructions
To repeat, a tornado is on the ground. TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a
basement or an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy
building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a mobile home, or in
a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter and protect
yourself from flying debris.
To report severe weather contact your nearest law enforcement agency.
They will send your report to the National Weather Service office in
Pleasant Hill.
