Details

At 1138 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from Grassy to 8 miles west of Advance. Movement was
east at 40 mph.

HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 40 mph and torrential rainfall.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include…
Cape Girardeau, Jackson, Scott City, Chaffee, Marble Hill, Advance,
Bollinger Mill State Historic Site, Trail Of Tears State Park, Kelso,
Delta, Gordonville, Dutchtown, Millersville, Leopold, Cape Girardeau
Airport, Burfordville, Grassy, Oak Ridge, Whitewater, and Zalma.

This includes Interstate 55 between Mile Markers 84 and 112.

Instructions

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
