Details

* WHAT…Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE…A portion of southwest Kansas, including the following
counties, Grant and Stanton.

* WHEN…Until 145 AM CDT.

* IMPACTS…Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 947 PM CDT, emergency management reported flooded roadways
in Southeast Stanton County due to earlier thunderstorms.
Flooding is already occurring. Between 3 and 5 inches of rain
have fallen.
– Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is
expected.
– Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Big Bow.

Instructions

Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
