Flood Warning for the following rivers in Iowa…
North Skunk River near Sigourney affecting Keokuk County.
* WHAT…Minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE…North Skunk River near Sigourney.
* WHEN…From Monday evening to Tuesday afternoon.
* IMPACTS…At 16.0 feet, Water affects agricultural land, some
county roads, and farm houses.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 9:30 AM CDT Sunday the stage was 13.1 feet and rising.
– Forecast…The river is expected to rise above flood stage
tomorrow evening to a crest of 16.3 feet early Tuesday
morning. It will then fall below flood stage Tuesday morning.
– Flood stage is 16.0 feet.
Instructions
Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.
