* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for…
Smith County in northeastern Texas…
* Until 400 PM CDT.
* At 254 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line from
15 miles south of Golden to near Arp, or along a line from 14 miles
southwest of Mineola to 6 miles east of Whitehouse, moving south at
5 mph.
HAZARD…60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE…Radar indicated.
IMPACT…Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
roofs, siding, and trees.
* Locations impacted include…
Tyler, Whitehouse, Lindale, Troup, Arp, Noonday, New Chapel Hill
and Carroll.
Instructions
Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from
windows. These storms are capable of producing damaging winds and
large hail.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
