Details

At 314 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms
from near Kemp to near Canton. These storms were nearly stationary.

HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 50 mph.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.

Other locations impacted by this storm include Ben Wheeler, Whitton,
Rand, Ola, Becker, Phalba, Roddy, Jackson, Oakland, and Wise.

This includes Interstate 20 between mile markers 519 and 542.

Instructions

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM CDT for
north central Texas.
