Mitchell County in western Texas…

* Until 845 PM CDT.

* At 744 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Colorado City
Airport, or 8 miles west of Colorado City, moving east at 10 mph.

HAZARD…70 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE…Colorado City mesonet recorded a wind gust of 67 mph at
7:32 PM.

IMPACT…Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect considerable
tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes,
roofs, and outbuildings.

* Locations impacted include…
Colorado City, Loraine, Colorado City Airport, Lake Colorado City,
Champion Creek Reservoir, Lake Colorado City State Park, Westbrook,
Cuthbert, and Buford.

This includes Interstate 20 between mile markers 198 and 228.
