Details

At 855 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from Mauriceville to 6 miles southwest of Ragley.
Movement was southeast at 15 mph.

HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 40 mph.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include…
Lake Charles, Sulphur, Orange, Vidor, Bridge City, Westlake, West
Orange, Vinton, Deweyville, Moss Bluff, De Quincy, Starks,
Mauriceville, Gist, Lunita, Hartburg, Toomey, Edgerly, Devils Pocket,
and Oretta.

This includes the following highways…
Interstate 10 in Texas between mile markers 880 and 863.
Interstate 10 in Louisiana between mile markers 1 and 35.
Interstate 210 between mile markers 1 and 2, and near mile marker
12.

Instructions

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
