The National Weather Service in Grand Forks has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for…
Northeastern Marshall County in northwestern Minnesota…
Southwestern Roseau County in northwestern Minnesota…

* Until 500 PM CDT.

* At 355 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over mainly rural
areas of southern Roseau County into northeastern Marshall County,
moving east at 30 mph.

HAZARD…60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage
to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include…
Wannaska, Strathcona, Gatzke, Casperson, and Torfin.

Instructions

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature’s leading
killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to
be struck by lightning.
