Details

At 1214 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms along a line extending from 7 miles northeast of Gary
to near Naples. Movement was south at 20 mph.

HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.

Locations impacted include…
Watertown, Clear Lake, Estelline, Castlewood, Goose Lake, Lake
Poinsett, Bryant, Hayti, Lake Norden, Henry, Gary, Toronto,
Kranzburg, Goodwin, Astoria, Brandt, Hazel, Claremont Colony, Vienna,
and Naples.

Instructions

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

To report severe weather, contact your nearest law enforcement
agency. They will relay your report to the National Weather Service
office in Aberdeen.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 200 AM CDT for
northeastern South Dakota.
