Details

At 830 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms along a line extending from near Phillips to near Wood
River. Movement was southeast at 10 mph.

HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.

Locations impacted include…
Grand Island, Doniphan, Alda, Giltner, Phillips, and Chapman.

This includes Interstate 80 between mile markers 301 and 328.

Instructions

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until midnight CDT for
south central and central Nebraska.
