Details

At 151 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Paxico, moving southeast at 40 mph.

HAZARD…Strong wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to vegetation is possible.

Locations impacted include…
Topeka, Carbondale, Rossville, Alma, Eskridge, Tecumseh, Richland,
Dover, Silver Lake, Auburn, Burlingame, Scranton, Maple Hill,
McFarland, Harveyville, Paxico, Willard, Pauline, Keene, and
Berryton.

This includes the following highways…
Interstate 70 between mile markers 330 and 355.
Kansas Turnpike between mile markers 146 and 187.

Instructions

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
