Details

At 127 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Oil City, or 23 miles northwest of Shreveport, moving east at 15 mph.

HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 30 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.

Locations impacted include…
Vivian, Benton, Oil City, Mooringsport, Hosston, Belcher, Gilliam,
Gray, Uncertain, Cavett, Dixie, Caddo Lake and Alden Bridge.

Instructions

Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening
weather conditions.

If on or near Caddo Lake, get out of the water and move indoors or
inside a vehicle. Remember, lightning can strike out to 10 miles from
the parent thunderstorm. If you can hear thunder, you are close
enough to be struck by lightning. Move to safe shelter now! Do not be
caught on the water in a thunderstorm.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
