The National Weather Service in Austin/San Antonio has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for…
Eastern Medina County in south central Texas…

* Until 1245 PM CDT.

* At 752 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Between 4 and 6 inches of rain
have fallen over the past 24 hours. Additional rainfall amounts of
1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is
ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD…Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms
producing flash flooding.

SOURCE…Radar.

IMPACT…Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include…
Devine, Castroville, Lytle, Natalia, Lacoste, Bader, Dunlay,
Quihi, Noonan, Pearson, Rio Medina, New Fountain, Biry, Mico,
Cliff, Lakehills, Government Canyon State Natural Area, Bigfoot
and Lake Medina Shores.

Instructions

Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
