…The National Weather Service in San Angelo has issued a Flood
Warning for the following rivers in Texas…

Llano River Near Mason affecting Mason County.

For the Llano River…including Junction, Mason…Minor flooding is
forecast.

* WHAT…Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE…Llano River near Mason.

* WHEN…From this afternoon to Friday morning.

* IMPACTS…At 18.0 feet, Minor lowland flooding will occur.
Secondary roads and low water crossings will become flooded.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 8:30 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 10.4 feet.
– Bankfull stage is 11.0 feet.
– Forecast…The river is expected to rise above flood stage this
afternoon to a crest of 18.6 feet late this afternoon. It will
then fall below flood stage this evening.
– Flood stage is 18.0 feet.
– Flood History…This crest compares to a previous crest of 18.5
feet on 10/05/1969.

Instructions

Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars
through flooded areas.
