Details

At 342 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Kelso, or over Scott City, moving southeast at 25 mph.

HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 50 mph.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include…
Cape Girardeau, Scott City, Chaffee, Benton, Tamms, Kelso, Olive
Branch, Cape Girardeau Airport, Horseshoe Lake Conservation Area,
Thebes, Pulaski, Commerce, Lambert, and East Cape Girardeau.

This includes Interstate 55 between Mile Markers 77 and 95.

Instructions

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
