* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for…
Northwestern Mellette County in south central South Dakota…
Eastern Jackson County in southwestern South Dakota…
Southeastern Haakon County in west central South Dakota…

* Until 530 PM MDT /630 PM CDT/.

* At 436 PM MDT /536 PM CDT/, severe thunderstorms were located along
a line from over Ottumwa to 6 miles north of George Town, or along
a line from 19 miles northeast of Philip to 12 miles south of
Kadoka, moving east at 20 mph.

HAZARD…70 mph wind gusts and small hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to
mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings.

* Locations impacted include…
Kadoka, Wanblee, Midland, Belvidere, Ottumwa, George Town, Nowlin
and Intersection of Highway 73 and White River.

This includes Interstate 90 in South Dakota between Mile Markers 144
and 174.

Instructions

Anyone outdoors should move to shelter inside a well-built structure
and stay away from windows. These storms are capable of producing
widespread damaging winds.
