The National Weather Service in the Quad Cities has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for…
Hancock County in west central Illinois…
Southwestern Lee County in southeastern Iowa…
Clark County in northeastern Missouri…

* Until 430 PM CDT.

* At 328 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Neeper, or
near Kahoka, moving east at 60 mph. Additional strong to severe
storms are developing east of the area too.

HAZARD…60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage
to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include…
Keokuk, Carthage, Kahoka, Hamilton, Warsaw, Augusta, Wayland,
Bowen, West Point, Alexandria, Ferris, Luray, St. Francisville,
Winchester, Plymouth, Denver, Elvaston, Basco, Revere, and Bentley.

Instructions

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
sturdy building.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM CDT for west central
Illinois…and northeastern Missouri.
