Details

At 632 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 14
miles west of Friend, moving southeast at 15 mph.

HAZARD…Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph. Areas of blowing dust may
reduce visibility. Dry lightning strikes may pose a
wildfire risk.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.

This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of northeastern
Kearny, northwestern Finney and southwestern Scott Counties.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
