The National Weather Service in Midland/Odessa has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for…
Southeastern Borden County in western Texas…
Northern Howard County in western Texas…
Northwestern Mitchell County in western Texas…
Southwestern Scurry County in western Texas…

* Until 1145 PM CDT.

* At 845 PM CDT, the public reported flash flooding near Luther.
Between 1 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall
amounts up to 1.5 inches are possible in the warned area.

HAZARD…Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE…Public reported.

IMPACT…Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include…
Coahoma, J B Thomas Reservoir, Luther, Westbrook, Vincent,
Cuthbert, Knapp and Ira.

Instructions

Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
