The National Weather Service in Des Moines has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for…
Cerro Gordo County in north central Iowa…
Southern Worth County in north central Iowa…

* Until 130 AM CDT Thursday.

* At 729 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 4 inches of rain
have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 2 to 4 inches per hour.
Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the
warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly.

HAZARD…Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE…Radar.

IMPACT…Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include…
Mason City, Nora Springs, Manly, Rockwell, Mason City Municipal
Airport, Clear Lake, Ventura, Plymouth, Fertile, Kensett, Grafton,
Hanlontown, Swaledale, Rock Falls, Burchinal, Portland, Bolan,
Clear Lake State Park and McIntosh Woods State Park.
