The National Weather Service in El Paso Tx/Santa Teresa has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for…
South Central Dona Ana County in south central New Mexico…
Northwestern El Paso County in western Texas…

* Until 915 PM MDT.

* At 643 PM MDT, Slow moving thunderstorms are producing torrential
rainfall between La Union and Chamberino, an area recently hit
hard by heavy rainfall. Flooding is expected to occur in short
arroyos running off the west mesa, and in low-lying areas.

HAZARD…Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE…Radar.

IMPACT…Flash flooding of arroyos, roads, as well as other
poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include…
La Union and areas just south of Chamberino.

Instructions

Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
