Details

* WHAT…Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE…Aransas County in south central Texas…
Refugio County in south central Texas…
Southwestern Calhoun County in south Texas…

* WHEN…Until 615 PM CDT.

* IMPACTS…Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Expect many
areas of slow moving or standing water.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 312 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Flooding is already occurring in
the warned area. Between 4 and 7 inches of rain have fallen.
– Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the
warned area.
– Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Rockport, Seadrift, Lamar, Bayside, Quintana, Holiday Beach,
Aransas National Wildlife Refuge, Copano Village, Tivoli, Key
Allegro, Bonnie View, Fulton and Austwell.

Instructions

Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
