…The National Weather Service in Omaha/Valley has issued a Flood
Warning for the following rivers in Iowa…

West Nishnabotna River At Randolph affecting Fremont and Mills
Counties.

* WHAT…Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE…West Nishnabotna River at Randolph.

* WHEN…From Friday morning to late Friday night.

* IMPACTS…At 19.0 feet, Rural agricultural lands begin to flood.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 3:00 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 11.8 feet.
– Bankfull stage is 19.0 feet.
– Forecast…The river is expected to rise above flood stage
tomorrow morning to a crest of 19.1 feet tomorrow morning. It
will then fall below flood stage tomorrow morning.
– Flood stage is 19.0 feet.
– Flood History…This crest compares to a previous crest of 19.2
feet on 03/30/1960.

Instructions

Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
