…The National Weather Service in Houston/Galveston TX has issued a
Flood Warning for the following rivers in Texas…

Tres Palacios River near Midfield affecting Matagorda and Wharton
Counties.

For the Tres Palacios River…including Midfield…Minor flooding is
forecast.

* WHAT…Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE…Tres Palacios River near Midfield.

* WHEN…From this morning to tomorrow evening.

* IMPACTS…At 24.0 feet, Minor lowland flooding begins as water
spills into the floodplain on the right upstream bank and covers
the meander point at the meander curve.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 1:30 AM CDT Tuesday the stage was 21.2 feet.
– Bankfull stage is 15.0 feet.
– Forecast…The river is expected to rise above flood stage
this morning to a crest of 25.9 feet this evening. It will
then fall below flood stage tomorrow morning.
– Flood stage is 24.0 feet.
– Flood History…This crest compares to a previous crest of
25.9 feet on 09/22/2003.

Instructions

Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.
