…The National Weather Service in Dodge City KS has issued a Flood
Warning for the following rivers in Kansas…

South Fork Ninnescah River near Pratt affecting Pratt County.

For the SF Ninnescah River…including Pratt…Minor flooding is
forecast.

* WHAT…Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE…South Fork Ninnescah River near Pratt.

* WHEN…From this afternoon to late tomorrow evening.

* IMPACTS…At 9.0 feet, Expect overflow of banks. Stream overflows
narrowly on the left bank and more broadly on the right bank.
Stream is approximately 260 ft wide at this stage.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 10:00 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 4.3 feet.
– Bankfull stage is 5.0 feet.
– Forecast…The river is expected to rise above flood stage
late this afternoon to a crest of 9.1 feet this evening. It
will then fall below flood stage late this evening.
– Flood stage is 9.0 feet.
– Flood History…This crest compares to a previous crest of
9.1 feet on 10/04/2002.
