…The National Weather Service in Aberdeen has issued a Flood
Warning for the following rivers in South Dakota…

Little Minnesota River near Peever affecting Roberts County.

.For sites with a river forecast, the forecast includes precipitation
through the next 24 hours. Any future precipitation could affect the
forecasts.

* WHAT…Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE…Little Minnesota River near Peever.

* WHEN…Until Saturday afternoon.

* IMPACTS…At 17.0 feet, Left bank below gage begins flooding.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 8:00 AM CDT Friday the stage was 16.9 feet.
– Forecast…The river is expected to rise above flood stage late
this morning to a crest of 17.2 feet this afternoon. It will then
fall below flood stage by early this evening.
– Flood stage is 17.0 feet.

Instructions

Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars
through flooded areas.
