…The National Weather Service in Corpus Christi has issued a Flood
Warning for the following rivers in Texas…
Rio Grande At Columbia Bridge affecting Webb County.
For the Rio Grande…including Columbia Bridge, Laredo…Minor
flooding is forecast.
* WHAT…Minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE…Rio Grande at Columbia Bridge.
* WHEN…Until this evening.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 9:15 AM CDT Tuesday the stage was 17.3 feet (5.3 meters).
– Bankfull stage is 16.0 feet (4.9 meters).
– Forecast…The river is expected to rise above flood stage late
this morning to a crest of 19.1 feet (5.8 meters) this afternoon.
It will then fall below flood stage late this afternoon.
– Flood stage is 18.0 feet (5.5 meters).
– Flood History…This crest compares to a previous crest of 19.6
feet (6.0 meters) on 10/14/2013.

Instructions
Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars
through flooded areas.
Flooding is occurring or is imminent. Most flood related deaths occur
in automobiles. Do not attempt to cross water covered bridges, dips,
or low water crossings. Never try to cross a flowing stream, even a
small one, on foot. To escape rising water find another route over
higher ground.
