Details

Over the past 48 hours, 2-6 inches of rainfall has occurred across
the Watched area. Storms this afternoon and evening may bring in an
additional 0.5-2.5 inches of rain, creating a flash flooding threat.

* WHAT…Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.

* WHERE…Portions of northwest Kansas, including the following
areas, Cheyenne KS, Decatur and Rawlins and southwest Nebraska,
including the following areas, Dundy and Hitchcock.

* WHEN…Through Tuesday morning.

* IMPACTS…Excessive runoff may result in additional flooding of
rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone
locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.
Low-water crossings may be flooded. Extensive street flooding and
flooding of creeks and rivers are possible. Area creeks and
streams are running high and could flood with more heavy rain.
