…The National Weather Service in Quad Cities has issued a Flood
Watch for the following rivers in Iowa…

Wapsipinicon River near De Witt 4S affecting Scott and Clinton
Counties.

.Recent heavy rainfall has the Wapsipinicon River rising. Another
round of heavy rainfall will occur tonight. Right now the heaviest
rainfall looks to fall well south of the Wapsipinicon basin. If
rainfall is less than what is currently forecast, the river may or
may not reach flood stage.

* WHAT…Flooding is possible.

* WHERE…Wapsipinicon River near De Witt 4S.

* WHEN…From Saturday afternoon to Saturday evening.

* IMPACTS…At 12.0 feet, Overbank flooding occurs. Water affects
residences along the river between Wheatland and Calamus. Water
affects businesses along the river near Calamus.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 2:30 PM CDT Friday the stage was 9.9 feet.
– Forecast…Flood stage may be reached tomorrow afternoon.
– Flood stage is 11.0 feet.
