* WHAT…Temperatures up to 107 expected.

* WHERE…In New Mexico, Eddy County Plains, and Southern Lea County.
In Texas, Eastern Culberson, Loving, Ward, and Winkler Counties,
and Reeves County Plains.

* WHEN…From 11 AM MDT /noon CDT/ to 8 PM MDT /9 PM CDT/ Sunday.

* IMPACTS…Hot temperatures may cause heat illnesses. High heat will
significantly increase the potential for heat related illnesses,
particularly for those working or participating in outdoor
activities.

Instructions

To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety and
Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in
shaded or air conditioned environments. Anyone overcome by heat
should be moved to a cool and shaded location. Heat stroke is an
emergency! Call 9 1 1.

Look before you lock! Do not leave young children and pets in
unattended vehicles for even a moment. Car interiors will very
quickly reach lethal temperatures.
