* WHAT…Heat index values up to 90 expected.

* WHERE…In Minnesota, Crow Wing, Pine, South Aitkin, and South and
Cass Counties. In Wisconsin, Price, Ashland, Bayfield, Burnett,
Douglas, Iron, Sawyer, and Washburn Counties. This includes the
Tribal Lands of the northwestern area of the Lac du Flambeau Band,
the Red Cliff Band, the Lac Courte Oreilles Reservation, the Bad
River Reservation, the St. Croix Band in Burnett County and the
Mille Lacs Band, Hinckley, Lena Lake and, East Lake areas. Other
locations including the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore and
Madeline Island.

* WHEN…From noon today to 8 PM CDT this evening.

* IMPACTS…Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat
illnesses.

Instructions

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose
fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning
or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and
heat stroke.
