…RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT FROM NOON TO 8 PM MDT MONDAY DUE TO
GUSTY WINDS AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY FOR FALL RIVER COUNTY AREA,
PINE RIDGE AREA, AND WESTON COUNTY PLAINS…

.Warmer dry air will push into the area tomorrow. Relative humidity
across portions of northeastern Wyoming and far southwestern South
Dakota will drop to near 15 percent. The dry air will combine with
gusty northwest winds to support critical fire weather conditions
Monday afternoon and early evening.

The National Weather Service in Rapid City SD has issued a Red Flag
Warning.

* AFFECTED AREA…Fire Weather Zones 317, 322, and 326.

* TIMING…From noon to 8 PM MDT Monday.

* WINDS…Northwest winds 15 to 30 mph with gusts up to 40 mph.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY…Relative Humidity as low as 15 percent.

* IMPACTS…Any fires that develop will spread rapidly. Outdoor
burning is not recommended.

either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of strong winds,
low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can contribute to
extreme fire behavior.
