* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for…
Northwestern Armstrong County in the Panhandle of Texas…
Southern Carson County in the Panhandle of Texas…
Southeastern Potter County in the Panhandle of Texas…

* Until 645 PM CDT.

* At 535 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 6 miles north of
Washburn, or 11 miles southwest of Panhandle, moving southeast at
10 mph.

HAZARD…70 mph wind gusts and half dollar size hail.

SOURCE…Trained weather spotters measured half dollar sized hail.

IMPACT…Expect some tree damage. Damage is likely to mobile
homes, roofs, and outbuildings. Hail damage to vehicles
is expected.

* Locations impacted include…
Panhandle, Claude, Groom, Washburn, and Pantex.

building.

Large hail, damaging wind, and continuous cloud to ground lightning
are occurring with this storm. Move indoors immediately. Lightning is
one of nature’s leading killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder,
you are close enough to be struck by lightning.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
