* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for…
West Central Bennett County in southwestern South Dakota…
Southeastern Oglala Lakota County in southwestern South Dakota…

* Until 800 PM MDT.

* At 700 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 5 miles north of
Wolf Creek Housing, or 6 miles northeast of Pine Ridge, moving
northeast at 50 mph.

HAZARD…60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include…
Pine Ridge, Porcupine, Manderson, Wounded Knee, Porcupine Butte
Housing, Evergreen, Goose Neck Housing, Sharps Corner, Thunder
Valley, Wolf Creek Housing, Lonesome Valley, Calico, Number 4,
Yellow Bear Canyon and southern Pine Ridge Reservation.

Instructions

Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from
windows. This storm is capable of producing damaging winds and large
hail.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM MDT for a portion of
southwest South Dakota.
