Chautauqua County in southeastern Kansas…
* Until 800 PM CDT.
* At 654 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 7 miles north of
Cedar Vale, moving southeast at 20 mph.
HAZARD…70 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE…Radar indicated.
IMPACT…Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect considerable
tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes,
roofs, and outbuildings.

Sedan, Cedar Vale, Peru, Chautauqua, Elgin, Niotaze, and Hale.
Instructions
Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.

building.
Large hail, damaging wind, and continuous cloud to ground lightning
