The National Weather Service in Goodland has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for…
Wichita County in west central Kansas…
Logan County in west central Kansas…
Gove County in west central Kansas…

* Until 930 PM CDT.

* At 827 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Quinter to 12 miles north of Pendennis to 4
miles north of Healy, moving southeast at 25 mph.

HAZARD…70 mph wind gusts and ping pong ball size hail.

SOURCE…Automated weather station reported 66 MPH winds 6 miles
northwest of Gove at 7:54 PM.

IMPACT…People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail
damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect
considerable tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to
mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings.

* These severe thunderstorms will remain over mainly rural areas of
Wichita, Logan and Gove Counties, including the following
locations… Lydia, The Monument Rocks, Selkirk, and Marienthal.

This includes Interstate 70 in Kansas between mile markers 103 and
113.

Instructions

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM CDT for west central
Kansas.
