The National Weather Service in Norman has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for…
Central Kay County in northern Oklahoma…
Northeastern Noble County in northern Oklahoma…

* Until 830 PM CDT.

* At 740 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Ponca City,
moving east at 25 mph.

HAZARD…Golf ball size hail and 70 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail
damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect
considerable tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to
mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings.

* Locations impacted include…
Ponca City, Blackwell, Tonkawa, Newkirk, Kaw City, Marland,
Kildare, Kaw Lake, and Peckham.

Instructions

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect for the warned area.
