The National Weather Service in Bismarck has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for…
Southwestern McHenry County in north central North Dakota…
Southeastern Ward County in north central North Dakota…

* Until 630 AM CDT.

* At 528 AM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line from
6 miles east of Rice Lake to near Sawyer, or along a line from 17
miles south of Minot to 17 miles southeast of Minot, moving
northeast at 20 mph.

HAZARD…Ping pong ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail
damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect
wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include…
Velva, Surrey, Sawyer, Norwich, Voltaire, Logan, Bergen, and
Simcoe.

Instructions

Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from
windows. These storms are capable of producing damaging winds and
large hail.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
